Explorers are the oldest section in the Group. They are encouraged to plan and run their own activities under the guidance of their leaders Matt Tanton, Chloe Houghton, Jo Danks (Jacala) and Ben Johnson.

When your child begins Explorers it will take about a month for them to complete their Membership Award and give them a chance to settle in. Their investiture will take place at the end of that time. Uniform will be required for the investiture at which time they will be presented with the Group Badges.

Explorers may like to visit the Explorer page on the National Scout website by clicking here as it contains lots of information about badges and Scouts in general.
